    Your formula is written incorrectly. The formula for a rectangle is: P = 2 (l+w)

    (p equals two times parenthesis length plus width end parenthesis)

    So with your givens you have: 620 = 2 (l + 140)

    Now we solve: 310=l+140

    310 - 140 = l

    170 = l
