A minor arc is formed when a central angle intersects the circle itself. When the minor arc reaches 45 degrees, it would now be called as a quarter circle. On the other hand, if the angle of the minor arc reaches 180 degrees, it is called a semi-circle. Keep in mind that minor arc is different to the major arc.
