A square has sides of length s. A rectangle is 6 Inches shorter and 1 inches longer. Which of the following expression represent the perimeter of the rectangle?

s to the power of 2 - 5s-6

s to the power of 2 - 5s+6

    Sides of the rectangle are 2 of length s - 6

    and 2 of length s + 1

    so its perimeter = 2 (x - 6) + 2 (s + 1)

    simplify that and you have the answer
