Do the phases of the moon follow a pattern

    Yes, it first appears as a crescent on the right side, then it grows to full disk (Mind that there's one inbetween crescent and full, and full to left crescent that I forgot about ... I think, not that sure if there is one, sorry,) then it goes back to a crescent, except this time on the left side, before disappearing entirely. This pattern lasts for 27.53 days before repeating again.
