Yasmin is making strawberry jam, and she is storing the jam in glass jars that are 3 inches in diameter and 4 inches in height. If she wants to make labels to cover the entire lateral surface of each jar, how big must each label be?

    Answer: 37.699 inches squared

    Explaination: If you work out the circumference of the circle base, it works out at 3π, and this gives you the horizontal length. If you multiple that by 4, that gives you 12π, which is ~37.669, with gives you the area of the curved side.
