A nest of ants initially contains 500 individuals. The population is increasing by 12% each week. How many ants will there be after:

    A) 500 (.12) = 60 ants per week. Therefore, (10 weeks) (60 ants) = 600ants + 500 ants = 1,100 ants

    B) (20 weeks) (60 ants) = 1,200 ants + 500 ants = 1,700 ants
