What is the simplified expression for 6 (2 (y + x))

    12y+12x. First solve it by multiplying the 2 into the inner bracket. After that is done, multiply the 6 into the bracket that is left.

    I'm guessing you have to use the distributive property. 6[2 (y+x) ]=6[2y+2x]=12y+12x
