Evaluate 10x-4z+5 when x=2 and z=-3

    The answer is 27. You substitute the x with 2 and the z with three and you end up with. The ten is now twenty the - 4 is now 12 (because negative times a negative is a positive) and the five stays the same so now you have 20+12+5. You then simplify the expression to 22+5 which equals 27.
