If you double a number and then add 24 , you get two sevenths2/7 of the original number. what is the original number?

    2x+24=2/7x

    Minus 2/7

    2is 14/7-2/7

    12/7x+24 = 0

    Subtract 24

    12/7x=-24

    X = - 24/1 times 7/12

    X = - 168/12

    X=-14
