    X - y/2 = 4

    x - 4 = y/2

    2 (x - 4) = y

    2x - 8 = y ... so we sub in 2x - 8 in for y in the other equation

    3x - 2y = 11

    3x - 2 (2x - 8) = 11

    3x - 4x + 16 = 11

    -x = 11 - 16

    -x = - 5

    x = 5

    2x - 8 = y

    2 (5) - 8 = y

    10 - 8 = y

    2 = y

    It has one solution and it is (5,2)
