Survey reported that out of 50 teenagers 9 reported getting their news from a newspaper at this rate how many out of 300 get their news from a newspaper

    I think that it would be 54 because 50 can go into 300 six times and for every time the 50 goes into 300 you have nine people that get news from the news paper so you would have to do 6*9 which is 54.

    9/50=x/300

    you would have to cross multiply. 2,700=50x

    then you want x by itself so you divide each side by 50.

    x=54
