    The answer would be: 81

How to get this answer is very simple you take a guess on what it could be i assumed 70 I then solved and got the wrong answer so I went up to eighty, I was one off so I knew I needed to add 1.

    1/9 x 81 = 9 then add 3 to get 12 : D

    Ok, so 81 x 1/9=9. 9+3=12. So y=81
