In a different plan for area codes, the first digit could be any number from 0 through 4 , the second digit was either 1 1 or 2 , and the third digit could be any number except 5, 6 or 7. With this plan, how many different area codes are possible?

    70 possible solutions. 0,1,2,3,4 there are 5 numbers 11,2 there are 2 numbers and 7 numbers for digit 3. 5x2x7=70
