    A linear measurement is one dimensional and it has a numerical value being assigned to a certain object with regards to its length. Linear measurement comes in a lot of units, it includes an inch, a foot, a meter, a kilometer, and a mile. Some examples for linear measurement include using a tape measure to know what the specific length of your bed is, or using your ruler to find out the length of your book. Any process that measures the length of something is considered to be a linear measurement.
