A taxi charges a flat fee of $4.00 plus $2.00 per mile. how much will the taxi driver earn if he takes one passenger 4.8 miles and another passenger 7.3? explain your process.

    4+2 (4,8) = 13,6$

    4+2 (7,3) = 18,6$

    the total amount the taxi will make from these 2trips : 13,6+18,6=32,2$
