A shirt is on sale at a 20% discount. The sales tax is 5%. A new sales clerk simply

takes 15% off the original price. Is this correct? Why?

    Think about it, If you have a sales tax that means more money going in right? So if you want what the discount is you must subtract the sales tax percentage leaving you with 15%
