There are 3 new seats in each row in a school auditorium. There are 15 rows in the auditorium. Each new seat costs$74. What is the cost of the new seats? Explain how you found your answer

    15 rows

    total new seats is (# seat per row) times (# of rows) = 3 times 15=45 seats

    each seat costs 74

    multiply number of seats times cost per seat=45 times 74=$3330

    the total cost is $3330
