When multiplying fractions you do this
if you have
x/y times z/t (they represent any numbers)
that is the same as
(x times z) / (y times t) so
basically multiply top by top and bottom by bottom so
remember than 2=2/1 so
-3/8 times 2/1 = (-3 times 2) / (8 times 1) = - 6/8=-3/4
