The formula for the area of a triangle is, where b is the base of the triangle and h is the height of the triangle. what is the length of the base of a triangle with an area of 30 and a height of 12 ft?

    A = 1/2bh. You know A = 30 and h = 12

    30 = 1/2b (12). 1/2 of 12 is 6

    30 = 6b

    Divide by 6

    b = 5
