2. A stone is an English measure of weight. There are 14 lb in 1 stone and 2.2 lb in 1 kg. A certain person weighs 9 stone.

(a) If you wanted to convert the person's weight to kilograms, what conversion factor should you use? Show your work.

(b) What is the person's weight in kilograms?

    Stone - - kilograms = find the persons weight in pounds then convert that to kg using the knowledge that 2.2lb = 1kg

    9st = 126lb

    126/2.2=57.27kg

    the person weighs 57.27 kilograms
