A tortoise is walking in the desert. It walks at a speed of 3 meters per minute for 37.5 meters.

For how many minutes does it walk?

    There are three elements in this problem. That is the speed, time and distance. If two of the above-mentioned are given there is no problem of getting the third. In the problem, speed and distance is given, and time is required. Speed is equal to distance over time.

    3m/min = 37.5m / t.

    Let us then find for t. Doing algebraic manipulation we should get t = 12.5 mins.
