How are percents greater than 100% used in real world contexts?

    For example, let say that there was 8 apples in a basket (Which is 100%) Then there was another basket that had 5 oranges (Which is 10% of the basket) Then it asked you to combine the percentage of those 2 baskets. Which would be 110% which is above 100%
