A painter uses 3 3/4 gallons of paint one wall. She uses 1 1/2 times as much paint to cover a second wall. How many gallons, G, of paint does she use to cover the second walk?

    5 1/4 gallons of paint, because 3+1=4 and 1/2=2/4. 2/4+3/4=5/4 which is an improper fraction, so you have to make a whole. 5/4=1 1/4. So 4+1 1/4=5 1/4
