Direct proportionn means when x increases, y increases, when x decrease, y decrease

indirect is oposite, when x increase, y decrease, when x decrease, y increase

if you said

y is directly proportional to x that is

y/x=k

or y=kx

y is inversly proportional to x then that is

yx=k

or y=k/x

Direct proportion means as the independent variable increases, the dependent variable increases, vice versa

Inverse proportion means just the opposite. As the independent variable increases, the dependent variable decreases, and vice versa.
