Divide 2x2 + 17x + 35 by x + 5.

    The answer is b. I always use long division to do this kind of problem.

    2x (x+5) = 2x^2 + 10x - - > 2x^2+17x - 2x^2+10x = 7x

    drag 35 down, then you get, 7x+35. (x+5) 7=7x+35.

    Therefore (2x^3+17x+35) / (x+5) = 2x+7
