If the graph of the function f is defined by:

F (x) = x^2+8

Is translated vertically downward by 4 units, it becomes the graph of a function g. Find the expression for g (x).

    G (x) = x^2+4

    This is because the last number (+4) represents the y intercept, so lowering the number by fore would lower the whole function by four.
