A cylindrical container weighs 36 ounces. Another container made out of the same material is similar to the first container with a height that is three-fourths the height of the first container. To the nearest tenth of an ounce, how much does the second container weigh?

    The answer is 27.0 ounces. The bulk of a cylindrical is area of bottom multiple the height. And the weight equals to the density multiple the bulk. So if the container height is three-fourths of the first one, the weight should be three-fourths of the first one, too. So the weight is 36*3/4=27.0
