If you took 7 hours to mow 4 lawns, then at that rate, how many lawns could be lawns could be mowed in 35 hours? at what rate were lawns being mowed?

    1.) You are trying to find the amount of lawns mowed at 35 hours so we'll need to make a proportion: 7/4=35/x (x is the variable you're trying to find)

    2.) Cross multiply the proportion: 7/4=35/x

    35*4=140

    3.) Divide 140 by 7

    140/7=20

    4.) 35 hours would accumulate to 20 lawns. The rate would be 35:20 and unit rate 6:4
