What is the result of isolating y^2 in the equation below? (x + 4) 2 + y^2 = 22

    Minus y^2 from both sides

    (x+4) ^2=22-y^2

    minus 22 both sies

    (x+4) ^2-22=-y^2

    times - 1 both sides

    22 - (x+4) = y^2

    the result is that you solved for y^2
