Jake wants to enlarge his 12 foot by 14 foit garden. if he multiplies the dimensiond by 2, how will the area of the garden be affected?

    12x14 is 168 12x2=24 14x2=28 24x28=672

    672/168=4 The area is affected by a scale factor of four. Because the label of area is the unit squared, you just square the number that the dimensions are being multiplied by.
