    We know from this that for every 30 perfect racket produced, 2 defective rackets are produced. When simplified, we find that for every 15 perfect rackets, 1 defective racket is produced. Set up the proportion.

    1/15 = x/80

    Cross multiply, you get the following.

    15x = 80

    Divide by 15.

    x = 5.33

    Because. 33 rackets cannot be produced, approximately 5 defective rackets will be produced.
