    Prime factors are the factors of the number which are prime numbers.

    Prime number is a number which has a factors of 1 and itself. Examples are 2, 3, 5, 7 etc.

    In order to get the prime factors of a number, we will just continously divide it with a prime number until we get a quotient of a prime number.

    Example;

    72 : 2 = 36 : 2 = 18 : 2 = 9 : 3 = 3

    As you observed that we divide 2 and 3 which are prime numbers to the quotient until we get 3 which is also a prime number. We will just list down the prime numbers as the as the factors of a number.

    Prime factors of;

    38 = 2 x 19

    92 = 2 x 2 x 23

    56 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 7

    72 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3

    125 = 5 x 5 x 5
