Assuming I understood what you wanted

Let x be the width of the court and y its length

We know that the perimeter is 2 (x+y) and is 228 so 2 (x+y) = 228 which can be reduced to x+y=114

What is more x is 42 less than y thus x=y-42

The system is therefore x+y=114, x=y-42
