    Me : 4 x + 8 y = 64

    My friend: 8 x + 16 y = 128

    A) 4 * 4 + 8 y = 64

    16 + 8 y = 64

    8 y = 64 - 16

    8 y = 48

    y = 48 : 8

    y = 6 (me and my friend work 6 hours at the second job)

    B) The number of hours we each work at the first job are also the same.
