After dessert, 2/3 of cherry pir is left. Suppose 4 friend want to share it equally. What fraction nmes how much to the whole pie each friend will get? Use the model on the right. Explain your answer

    Each friend gets 1/6 of the pie. There are four friends, so they spilt the fraction in half (4 divided by 2 is 2) but this would give you 4/6 pie left. Seeing as the fraction is bigger but has the same base value, the friends each get a piece of pie. Sorry if that was confusing!
