In this case, 16/25=240 loaves that he sold

25/25 is how many loaves he started with, and 9/25 is what he now has

    16/25 = 240

divide bothe sides by the numerator (16) to get what 1/25 of his loaves equal

    1/25=15

    multiply both sides by 25

    the baker started with 375
