A sensor is submerged in a silo to detect any bacterial growth in the stored fluid. the stored fluid has a density of 2.3 grams per cubic centimeters. what is the hydrostatic pressure felt by the sensor at a depth of 30 meters in units ofâ atmospheres

    The formula for hydrostatic pressure is:

    P = ρgh

    where ρ is density = 2.3 g / cm^3, g is gravity = 9.81 m/s^2, h is height of water = 30 m

    Therefore,

    P = (2.3 g / cm^3 * 1 kg/1000g * (100cm/1m) ^3) * 9.81 m/s^2 * 30 m

    P = 676,890 Pa = 6.68 atm
