How is power calculated?

multiply force and displacement

divide force by displacement

multiply work and time

divide work by time

    The answer is divide work by time.

    For example, the work (total energy) given out by a heater in 10 seconds is 1000Joules, therfore the power of heater is 1000 / 10, 100W
