Are you sure this isn't an Anatomy question? From my understanding, sound comes in through the auditory canal and hit the tympanic membrane, then the vibrations are transferred to the Malleus, Incus, and Satpes (bones known as "Middle Ear"). the vibrations are then transferred to the cochlea and semicircular canal where they are interpreted and passed on to the brain through the auditory nerve. This nerve extends to the back of your head where the brain is able to process the information. I hope this answer your question!

P. S as far as I understand, our ear wax is generated as a special oil by our bodies due to the friction of your middle ear bones, in the tympanic membrane.
