Scientist have measured that the vibrations of an earthquake travel faster through solid rocks in the Earth and slower in the liquid magma deep in the Earth. This data supports the idea that A. vibrations move through different materials at different speeds. B. vibrations travel at the same speed in all materials. C. magma causes more earthquakes to happen than solid rock. D. solid rock can stop an earthquake from doing damage to a city.

    A. The particles are packed more tightly in materials with more density which causes the vibrations to bounce of the partials more rapidly which makes them go faster
