Density is theoretically considered as a unit's mass per volume. It is expressed using the equation d=m/v. The density of a particular object can change by modifying temperature or pressure. For example, the density of gas can change by adjustments in pressure, whereas the density of liquids or solids can be changed by changes in temperature (solid items are more dense than liquids).

Density is the relationship that exists between the mass of an object and the volume occupied by it.

This means that if the mass remains constant and the volume of the object increases, then the density of the object is smaller.

On the other hand if the mass remains constant and the volume of the object decreases, then the density of the object is greater.

The concept of density can be used when two liquids are in a container. The higher density liquid remains in the bottom of the container and the lower density liquid in the upper part.
