Explain why adding more components in parallel will decrease the total resistance of the total resistance of the circuit

    When you add more branches in parallel, there are more ways for electrons to travel from here to there. So more of them make the trip. More electrons means more current.

    Just like adding more lanes to the same piece of highway causes more cars to flow.
