In an old-fashioned pendulum clock, the bob is moved up and down to adjust the clock to keep accurate time. how would you adjust the bob in order to correct a clock that runs too fast? explain why the adjustment works.

    The period T of the pendulum is given by the equation: T=2*π*√ (L/g) where L is the length of the pendulum and g = 9.81 m/s². So the period T will increase as we increase the length L of the pendulum and the period T will decrease as we decrease the length L of the pendulum. In an old fashion clock we simply move the bob up and shorten the length and we slow down the clock.
