When a wave reaches the boundary of a new medium, what happens to it?

    When a wave enters a more dense medium, the wavelength shortens so therefore the wave slows down. when a wave enters a less dense medium, the wavelength gets longer so therefore the wave speeds up. these are the only differences that occur when a wave enters a new medium.
