If the moon is new as seen from the earth, what phase would the earth be in as seen by an astronaut on the moon? explain your reasoning.

    The earth would be fully visible or full, because it is always seen as an opposite phase than what would normally be seen when we look at the moon. For instance, if we see the moon as almost full then from the moon the earth would appear as a slim crescent.
