    The first two in a way use indiction. A generator causes an induced voltage on the output terminals by rotating a coil in a magnetic field (Faraday's Law of magnetic induction). A telephone microphone has a membrane that is excited (moved) by sound waves and on the back of this membrane is a magnet. The magnet is placed inside the core of a coil of wire that has a voltage induced in it by the changing magnetic flux through the loop as it vibrates.

    A turbine is moved by fluids or air, and while they can drive generators they themselves do not require induction to operate
