All electromagnetic waves, such as light or radio waves are oscillatory and can therefore be described mathematically with a sine wave. Microwaves, emitted by microwave cooking appliances are also oscillatory and therefore take a sine wave form. The alternating current that drives the electricity within our homes and is found to be emitted by AC power supplies within electronics workshops are also sine waves.
