"Plate A" is an oceanic plate.

The structures that may form on oceanic plates include volcanoes and volcanic island arcs. This occurs due to the collision of two convergent plates. One plate slips over the other and a subduction zone results. These give rise to deep ocean trenches as well as active volcanoes.
