    Lead for scuba weights

    mercury for thermometers and barometers

    uranium for nuclear power plants

gold and silver for currency, conductivity

    copper even for conductivity

zinc for sacrificial anodes on ships

the density or complexity of the atoms make their uses very unique, moreso than iron.
