    We know the car starts at 24 m/s and will end at 0 m/s in 10 s. Use a kinematic equation to find the acceleration.

    V = Vi + at

    0 = 24 + a (10)

    -24/10 = a

    a = - 2.4 m/s^2

    Now calculate the required force.

    F = ma

    F = 1100 * (-2.4) = 2640 N
